I confess: It’s been a while since I’ve take to these pages… a lot of life has been lived… a love, a wedding, travels, unemployment, re-employment, voluntary unemployment, laughs, tears, new pages to write on, goodbyes, and new adventures… and as I sit here on the last night in OUR beloved Dollhouse I wonder how does one say goodbye to such an amazing place that holds so many beautiful memories within her walls…. and just as the emotions become to overwhelming and tears well in my eyes, my amazing husband reminds me that we will always have the memories that were created here… where we first said I love you, where we became engaged to one another, the home we came home to as a married couple…. and as we empty the walls, remove all the clutter and box up our lives I am reminded that home is wherever I’m with you…

I also live in alameda and saw your garage sale post. I just moved out of my parents house and am despartely in need of some furninsings. My style is eclectic vintage post modern (I’m a student at SFAI) and the word vintage piqued my interest.
Unfortunately, I will be unavailable for most of Saturday. Is there any way I can stop by tonite to get a first chance at the vintage stuff? My parents have an electric car and if I bring rope, I’m pretty sure I can just tie stuff down. It gets great gas mileage! I know the corner you are on and can stop by around 9pm. If you’d like ,I can bring my art portfolio and a 6 pack (sorry, just looking for some new friends).
If you have any animals please let me know as I am allergic to most. Ferrets and turtles are OK but dogs will make my face turn a light shade of green (weird right!??), I like cats actually but they can be ferocious around me because I once had a close encounter with a Tiger.

I confess: Some days are for good news… and some days are for bad news… for me, today was a day for both…..
Today I was promoted!!! I’m the new store manager of the Anthropologie store I have been working at for the past year and a half… to say it wasn’t a speedy move up would be an understatement, but with a little luck, a lot of hard work, a few stumbles, and an opportunity to good to go for I had to go for it! I’d be lying if I didn’t say i was a smidgen proud of myself.
Today I also lost a good friend of almost 16 years… my sweet dog Sydney… I am so sad to know that when I go to my parents house she will no longer be there to greet me, but I find comfort in the fact that I was able to go and say goodbye to her today before she was put to rest after a beautiful, full, long life. Sydney was there through many life milestones for me… graduating high school, graduating college, moving to San Francisco, and most recently getting married. Sydney was a very independent spirit, not much unlike myself, and she always kept it real! Sydney was bit of a feisty one and would nip and bite on occasion, but there was always a reason…. you were trying to take something away from her, you were annoying her, or you were making her uncomfortable…. Sydney didn’t have a voice to yell at you with so she used her teeth as her means of communication. I like to think if I were a dog, I would be just like Syd… you just can’t blame a dog for keeping it real. Sydney will be cremated and her ashes spread over her most favorite places to roam around in the backyard, the places that made her the most happy…. Rest in peace Sydney… I love you….
