I confess: Hello reader friends… sorry to go MIA for a minute or two or three… I was working some stuff out… The rain had me seriously down and out… Ever here of SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder)?…. I self diagnosed myself with it… Haha… but seriously, the mundane days of rain and cold, housebound days off, soggy clothes and shoes and no sunshine in sight had me seriously down and out… to much time on your hands…. leads to to much thinking and to much thinking can lead to anxiety… but the sunshine is here and with it brings the hope of days at the beach, summer street faires, and dining alfresco… there’s a lot to catch up on…. so without further adieu I present our 1 year anniversary trip…. in photos… and a few words…
We went back and forth on what type of trip we should take for our anniversary… it started out as going to Carmel and then it was a road trip up to San Luis Obispo and then it turned into San Diego… with a purpose though… the darling was trading cars with his parents and we had a San Diego family and friends engagement party… One of my favorite places in the world was added… DISNEYLAND… along with a stop at the famed Madonna Inn a place i have been dying to stay at for as long as I can remember….

Once the sun set we ran around like little kids… We headed over to toon town and hoped on the Go Gadgets coaster where the darling decided it would be fun to do a photo shoot… on the coaster… 
Our Disneyland day 2 brought massive down pour… have you ever rode a roller coaster in the pouring rain? I can check that off my bucket list….

Our first anniversary was celebrated at the Madonna Inn…. something we might possibly make into a tradition… jury is still out on that one…. 
Pink… pink…. pink…. the receipts, the restaurant, the signs, even the lamp posts… 
We choose to stay in the Vous room… One of the rooms in a series of 3… Ren Dez Vous… Complete with a round bed… 
Celebratory dinner was had at the hotel steak house… 
This trip was the perfect cap off of an amazing year, falling in love with my best friend and future husband….
